Cijin

旗津

Cijin, originally named Cihou(旗后), is a long and narrow island. You have two choices to get to Cijin. One is to go by ferry; the other is to drive through the Harbor Tunnel(過港隧道). Even though Cijin is small, there are still many beautiful places worth a visit, such as many kinds of fresh seafood, 300-year-old Cihou Tianhou Temple(旗后天后宮), western-style Cihou Lighthouse(旗后燈塔), wide Seashore  Park(海岸公園), beautiful Wind Turbine Park(風車公園), well-collected Seashells Museum and grand Gun Emplacement(旗后砲台). Cijin is especially famous for its fresh seafood. Here you can find the cheap but fresh and delicious seafood. Besides, you can ride a tricycle powered by men in traditional Chinese costume.

● Traffic

※ By ferry 

　1. Take Bus No. 1, No. 31 or No. 50 to Gushan Ferry Station.

　2. Then take the Gushan Ferry to Cijin

             § Ferry information:

　　　(1)Schedule: Every 4-6 minutes   (2) Fare: per person ---NT$10 & motorcycle ---NT$10

※By car

　　　　　Go down at Jhongshan intersection, and go straight along Yugang North Rd. Turn left on

　　　　Sinsheng Rd. and drive through the Harbor Tunnel. Then go along Cijin Rd.
